Saltmeadow Learning Facilitators are carefully chosen for their lifelong love of learning and respect for young people. They are dedicated to creating safe and engaging learning environments for students in the upper grades. They come from all walks of life, bringing a rich diversity of experiences and talents to share with Saltmeadow students.
Jessica Bromby French and Human Relations Ms. Jessica is a native French speaker from Quebec, where she grew up on a working farm. She earned a degree in Social Sciences from Champlain College. Ms. Jessica has extensive experience working with youth at retreats, schools, and workshops in locations around the world.
Edwin Culver Classical Guitar Mr. Culver is a classical guitar composer, performer, and educator. He is a graduate of Hillsdale College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. Mr. Culver incorporates music history, theory, and composition into his classical guitar lessons, to the delight and benefit of his students.
Heather Green Social Justice, History, and Health Ms. Green is a graduate of University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Ms. Green has enjoyed creating conversations around history and social justice with upper grades students since 2014.
Liz Pascoe-Broome Literature and Drama Ms. Liz earned her Bachelor in Theatre from Southern Utah University. She also attended Expressive Arts Florida, studying Expressive Arts for two years. Ms. Liz has taught drama at Florida Studio Theater and Venice Theater, working with public and private school students, incorporating language arts learning with drama. Ms. Liz brings her expertise in theater, movement, literature, and creative writing study to each of her classes at Saltmeadow.
Jon Stevens Math, Peace Studies Mr. Stevens earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Masters in Elementary Education at the University of New Hampshire. He has over a decade of teaching and curriculum development experience. Mr. Jon is also a talented musician and naturalist. Mr. Stevens is also the 6th/7th grade teacher at Mangrove School of Sarasota.
Kalin Wilson Literature and Science Ms. Kalin has a decade's worth of experience working with students of all ages. Fromm 2006 to 2014, she taught English in Japan to elementary, middle, and high school students. She currently works with early childhood students at the Mangrove School of Sarasota. Ms. Kalin received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from New College and a Master's Degree in Anthropology and Museum Studies from Florida State University.
